The Cobb County Board of Commissioners voted recently to spend $598,822 to relocate and rebuild the BMX bicycle track at Wild Horse Creek Park in the Powder Springs area.
W.E. Contracting Co. Inc., the builder of the existing track, was awarded the contract for the track at 3820 Macedonia Road.
The track’s new location will take the place of a softball field, within the present park, to provide better drainage, improved lighting for night races and better circulation for participants and spectators.
