Clues sought from public in 1995 Elberton murder

Police are seeking the public's help in cracking a 16-year-old murder.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation said in a press release Monday that agents are working with Elberton police and reviewing the investigation into the death of Icelean Noble.

Noble, 34, was found murdered June 13, 1995, in her 219 Roosevelt Street home in Elberton, said GBI spokesman John Bankhead.

Elberton is located in east Georgia near the South Carolina border.

Noble was last seen alive several days before her body was found.

Any information, no matter how insignificant it may seem, is important to law enforcement, said Bankhead. Anyone with knowledge or information on this case is asked to contact investigators at any of the following numbers:
