Riverside Drive at I-285 in Sandy Springs will see nightly lane closures July 24 - 29 as crews work on two roundabouts, and the bridge over the interstate will close entirely for repairs for three weekends in August, according to the Georgia Department of Transportation.

Every night Sunday through July 29 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., one lane of Riverside will be closed between Cold Stream Court and Fair Oaks Manor.

The Riverside bridge over I-285 will be closed entirely from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday on Aug. 5-8, 12-15 and 19-22. Detours will be announced in the coming week, a GDOT spokeswoman said.

All repairs are subject to weather.

GDOT contractors are replacing conventional, signalized interchanges at Riverside and I-285 with single-lane roundabouts north and south of the interstate. Work is scheduled to be finished in November.
