Spring cleaning is here, so take all of those big items you don’t need anymore from your garage, shed, basement and attic, and save them for May 13.

That’s when the Roswell and Milton Public Works departments are inviting folks to dump their large and unwanted items at Roswell's Public Works Division at 1810 Hembree Road, as part of “Bulky Trash Amnesty Day.”

Roswell and Milton residents can drop their items off there from 8 a.m. to noon. Proof of residency is required to participate.

Items that will be accepted include mattresses, box springs, tires, sofas, tables, refrigerators, chairs, washers, dryers, electronics and cell phones.

Non-accepted items include televisions, monitors, paint, household hazardous waste, motor oil, antifreeze, batteries, demolition materials and yard waste.

For more information, Roswell residents should contact Janet Liberman at 770-641-3715 or jliberman@roswellgov.com, and Milton residents should contact Teresa Stickels at Teresa.Stickels@cityofmiltonga.us.
