Clayton State University has named its first director of corporate and foundation relations. Cheryl Martinez Thibodeau comes to the university after three years at Southern Polytechnic University where she was development officer for major, corporate and foundation giving. She will work through Clayton State’s external affairs division. A native of the United Kingdom, Thibodeau has an extensive background in fundraising and philanthropy. In her new role, Thibodeau will be responsible for bringing in corporate and foundation support for all areas of the university at annual and major gift levels. She also will work with alumni, faculty, administration, and volunteers to find and solicit corporate and foundation prospects for the university.
