The City of South Fulton City Clerk’s Office has released proposals that will be on the Nov. 5 ballot:

QUESTION 1:

Shall the Act be approved which authorizes the City of South Fulton to utilize tax allocation districts and redevelopment powers under the ‘Redevelopment Powers Law,’ as it may be amended from time to time?

If the vote passes it will go into effect immediately. If it doesn’t, it will be automatically repealed on Jan. 1, 2020.

QUESTION 2:

Do you approve a new homestead exemption from City of South Fulton property taxes for municipal purposes in the amount of the difference between the current year assessed value of a home and its lowest base year value, provided that the lowest base year value will be adjusted yearly by the lesser of 3 percent or the inflation rate?

If it passes,, it will go into effect on January 1, 2020.
