City facilities reopening in McDonough
A statement released May 28 by McDonough officials stated that City Hall, the police headquarters and fire stations, public works building and Main Street Welcome Center would reopen to the public as of June 1.
Court proceedings will resume for the McDonough Municipal Court starting June 17. Hours have been modified for all city buildings, and they will be open 9 a.m.-4 p.m. weekdays. Anyone entering one of these buildings will be required to wear a mask and have his or her temperature taken. Masks will be provided for those who do not have one. Water customers still have the option to make payments online, over the phone, at the drive-through facility or by utilizing the drop box.
The convenience fee for paying online or over the automated phone line will no longer be credited back to accounts.
