Citizens learn about cops

The Fulton County Police Department is accepting applications for its Citizen Police Academy. This nine-week program gives participants a peek at the training police receive and the issues they confront. Topics include a departmental overview, traffic enforcement and live-fire demonstrations.

The program is  Sept. 29 to Dec.  1, on Thursday evenings (except November 24, 2011)  from 7 p.m. until 10 p.m.  Application at fultonpolice.org or contact Lt Paige Edwards,  404-346-7940.
