Crime Stoppers Greater Atlanta is looking for two alleged gang members after a child was struck with a stray bullet in a May 20 drive-by shooting.

Police are seeking 18-year-old Jonathan Augustine Yanez-Gomez and 17-year-old Kevin Ortiz in connection with the shooting on Marshes Glenn Drive in Norcross. Both will be charged with five counts of aggravated assault when apprehended.

Crime Stoppers says Yanez-Gomez and Ortiz are both members of the Surenos/Sur 13 gang. The two are “known to frequent the S. Norcross-Tucker Road area,” Crime Stoppers said.

Ricardo Vidal and Ruben Herrera have been arrested and charged with aggravated assault in connection with the shooting. The child is in stable condition and was described as a “young minor” by Norcross police.

Police are not yet sure why the shooting took place, a spokesman said.

Anyone with information on their whereabouts are asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 404-577-8477. Crime Stoppers tips may be rewarded with up to $2,000 if they lead to an arrest or indictment.
