Cherokee seeks men who tried to lure girl

Cherokee County Sheriff’s deputies are seeking two men who tried to lure a child into their truck.

A 12-year-old girl told officials two men in an older-model green Ford F-150 pickup with a camper shell pulled up near her on Longwood Drive Monday evening, said spokesman Lt. Jay Baker. One of two men inside tried to get her into the vehicle by saying they’d give her a puppy. She said no and the truck left.
