Cherokee schools name 5 new principals

The Cherokee County School Board has approved the appointment of five new principals: Carrie O’Bryant at Clayton Elementary School; Todd Sharrock at E.T. Booth Middle School; Jennifer McIntosh at Knox Elementary School; Ashley Kennerly at Sixes Elementary School; and Michael Santoro at Woodstock Middle School.

“Each of these new principals will bring to the role significant experience in teaching, team-building, coaching, inspiring and leading,” said schools Superintendent Brian V. Hightower. “They understand our mission and are committed to ensuring every child we serve receives the best education possible for the greatest future success.”

All five appointees are moving up from positions of assistant principal: O’Bryant, at Oak Grove ES Fine Arts Academy; Sharrock, at Woodstock High School; McIntosh, at Hasty ES Fine Arts Academy; Kennerly, at Indian Knoll Elementary School; and Santoro, at River Ridge High School.
