Woodstock Furniture Outlet has won a $27,919 impact fee exemption from Cherokee County for its new office-warehouse near Acworth.

The company has said it would retain 178 jobs and generate 50 new jobs at its new, $10 million facility at 6050 Old Alabama Road in the Cherokee 75 Park. The Cherokee Board of Commissioners granted ARCO National Construction’s request to reduce the impact fees owed by 50 percent.

The 133,718-square-foot facility will be involved in managing and distributing furniture to Woodstock Furniture Outlet’s retail locations in metro Atlanta, according to a staff report to the county board.

The Cherokee Office of Economic Development worked diligently to keep the company, which had considered locations in other counties, staff said.
