Cherokee County Senior Services has put out a call for donations of printed materials, artwork and cards and letters for senior citizens homebound because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

"Many of the seniors who attended our daily activity program are now home alone and isolated," Senior Services said in a Facebook posting. "Senior Services is looking for ways to help them stay engaged."

The agency suggested large-print word searches and crossword puzzles, decks of cards, simple adult coloring books, markers, crayons and colored pencils; personalized letters and cards with handwritten notes “that focus on positive, inspirational and encouraging messages”; and hand-made artwork and drawings.

Donations can be mailed to Cherokee County Senior Services, 1001 Univeter Road, Canton GA 30115; or dropped off in the carts at the entrance between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. Information: 770-345-2675 or https://bit.ly/34rc987
