The Cherokee County School District has published its annual report in a new format so that it can be a foldable brochure for presentations or a poster for displays, with greater emphasis on infographics and streamlined text.

Described by the school district as “a yearly snapshot of accountability-based performance, results and accomplishments,” the report is divided into four themes: “Educating the Emerging Generation,” “Raising the Bar,” “Always Improving” and “Engaging Community.”

Among the highlights: The district graduated more than 2,600 seniors in 2016. Eighty-five percent completed high school in four years, 56 percent were HOPE eligible (the second-highest figure in metro Atlanta), and students posted the highest average ACT score in district history and the third-highest average SAT score in Georgia.

The district has 41,700 students, 3,084 certified teachers, 1,611 classified support staff and more than 80 business, civic and community partners, according to the report. Information: http://bit.ly/2lC0gsI
