If you’re knowledgeable about fire safety and like working with children, Cherokee County has a job opening. Cherokee County Fire & Emergency Services is seeking applicants for the position of Fire Safety Educator.

"The essential function of the position within the organization is to provide fire, disaster and life safety education to the public," according to a county announcement. All applicants must apply through this link: https://bit.ly/2ZNUFk9

The Fire Safety Educator is called upon to coordinate and teach school fire safety programs, schedule fire department public relations events for all fire stations, teach CPR, conduct “Safe Kids Cherokee County” events, and attend training programs and conferences to stay current on related techniques and procedures, the county said.

“The position works under general supervision of the Senior Fire Safety Educator, who decides how and when to complete tasks,” the county said.
