Canton automotive manufacturer Piolax USA announced an enlargement of its facility in the Canton-Cherokee Business and Industrial Park.
Piolax officials said the 82,000-square- foot expansion will result in 30 jobs being added to the company’s workforce of 255 employees, and said the automotive warehouse facility should be done in early 2016. A groundbreaking for the project was held Sept. 3.
The company turns out various plastic and metal vehicle parts, and first settled in Cherokee County in 1988.
