The Cherokee County Chamber of Commerce and Cherokee Farm Bureau will hold a candidate forum from 6:30p.m.-9 p.m. Tuesday, July 28, at Cagle’s Family Farm, 362 Stringer Road, Canton.
The group said that all local, state and national candidates running for office in 2015 and 2016 have been invited and have been given two minutes apiece to speak. In addition, current elected officials will be introduced and an informal candidate meet-and-greet will both precede and follow the forum. A number of candidates and officeholders have indicated they will attend. They include Canton Mayor Gene Hobgood and several judicial and sheriff’s office hopefuls.
