A woman who apparently planned to commit suicide instead sickened herself and three others and caused an evacuation at a Roswell apartment complex Thursday afternoon, according to police.
The woman, whose name was not released, created a chemical mixture in her bathtub that created a vapor, a police spokeswoman told Channel 2 Action News.
A hazardous materials team was sent to the Ashley Forest Apartment on Nesbit Ferry Road, where they found the woman and her 12-year-old child ill, according to police. Two Roswell police officers were also transported to the hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
Residents in neighboring apartments were evacuated for about two hours during the investigation into the incident.
