The City of Chattahoochee Hills Mayor and Council has tentatively adopted a millage rate which will require an increase in property taxes by 9.27 percent.

A public hearing has already been held on July 14 to allow public input.

Additional meetings are set for 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. Tuesday at City Hall, 6505 Rico Road.

This tentative increase will result in a millage rate of 10.958 mills, an increase of 0.93 mills. Without this tentative tax increase, the millage rate will be no more than 10.028 mills. The proposed tax increase for a home with a fair market value of $100,000 is approximately $23.25 and the proposed tax increase for non-homestead property with a

fair market value of $300,000 is approximately $111.60.
