A charity concert scheduled for this weekend -- but canceled after a neighbor complained to Cobb County officials -- is back on at a downtown Atlanta venue, Channel 2 Action News reports.
The “Kia Soul Summer Series” concert sponsored by Cobb County Kia is now set to take place on the rooftop of the French American Brasserie, at 30 Ivan Allen Jr. Boulevard.
The Smith family, which owns a 3.2-acre estate in the 4400 block of Paper Mill Road in east Cobb County, had planned a Saturday night benefit concert for the American Heart Association featuring the rock group Gin Blossoms.
When a neighbor complained, though, Cobb County officials warned the Smiths that the event, at a private home in a residential area, could violate county zoning, noise and liquor laws. The concert was canceled but now is back on, moved to the downtown location.
About 150 people are expected to attend, paying ticket prices of $100 apiece.
