Chancellor appoints two interim college presidents
Randy Pierce will serve as the interim president at Gainesville State College and Shirley Kenny will be the interim president at Augusta State University, Chancellor Hank Huckaby announced Wednesday.
Both appointments are effective July 1. The current presidents at the two schools are retiring.
The interim presidents won't be in the jobs long. Augusta State will merge with Georgia Health Sciences University and Gainesville State will consolidate with North Georgia College & State University by August 2013.
