Chance of showers increases next week

Expect a mix of sun and clouds Sunday, with just isolated showers, but the chance of rain will increase into next week.

"By this evening and overnight tonight, the risk of showers and storms move up," Channel 2 Action News meteorologist Brad Nitz said Sunday. More widespead and, at times, heavy rains will greet Monday morning commuters, Nitz said. "There's a risk that some of these storms could become strong, perhaps even an isolated severe storm, Nitz said.

Sunday’s temperature will reach the upper 80s. The high may approach 90 on Monday before dropping back to the mid 80s as the cloudiness increases through Wednesday. The nighttime lows will be in the mid to upper 60s.
