Chamblee, Doraville look to revitalize Buford Highway

The Atlanta Regional Commission and the cities of Chamblee and Doraville will hold a meeting to discuss economic development plans for Buford Highway. The purpose of the forum is for community members to discuss the plan to revitalize and enhance the Buford Highway corridor, increasing transportation safety and housing opportunities.

The meeting is 7 to 9 p.m. Oct. 12 at Canton House, 4825 Buford Highway. The Buford Highway Master Plan is part of the Atlanta Regional Commission’s Livable Centers Initiative, a program that helps communities fund planning studies and transportation projects. The planning and community engagement process for the plan will continue through February 2017.
