A parade of politicians, police and residents will travel through DeKalb County on Saturday to help advocate for the census.

DeKalb’s census caravan will depart from the Everest Institute on Wesley Chapel Road at noon and travel through parts of Decatur, Lithonia and Stone Mountain, Commissioner Connie Stokes said.

The caravan is designed to raise awareness about the census in “hard to count” areas, Stokes said.

To volunteer, contact Stokes’ office at 404-371-3053 or sign up online at www.conniestokes.org.
