It started out as a traffic stop for a car driving the wrong way down a Henry County Road around 12:30 a.m. Wednesday.

But the surprise came when authorities searched the vehicle.

The McDonough police officer didn’t find drugs or money – but bronze flower vases. Thirty six of them.

They were taken from the Eastlawn Cemetery in Henry County, police said. Investigators have been looking into a rash of such crimes throughout the county.

Authorities say the vases are worth about $295 each.

A Henry County police detective called to the scene also found tools that were consistent with those used to commit burglaries.

Police arrested Jodi Lynn Fraser, 41, of Forest Park, and Douglas Guthrie, 43, of Winder. They were charged with theft by taking and possession of tools for the commission of a crime.
