Cell tower revenues will fund Cobb playgrounds

New playground equipment will be installed at Lost Mountain Park and Milford Park with cell tower revenues.

The equipment will cost nearly $184,948 for Lost Mountain Park, 4845 Dallas Highway, Powder Springs and $109,463 for Milford Park, 2980 Hicks Road, Marietta and be provided by BCI Burke Company, according to Cobb P.A.R.K.S. Director Jimmy Gisi.

This unanimous decision was made by the Cobb County Board of Commissioners on Jan. 23.

Cell tower revenue has been used for Cobb playground equipment and safety surfaces since 2000.
