Career Center of the Carolinas is eight hires away from its goal of getting 1000 people in the region back to work, according to a press release. To meet that goal, it has sponsored a free career fair and networking event set for 4 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 21 at Atlanta City Hall, 55 Trinity Ave SW, Atlanta.

Several employers are expected to attend from all industries. The event is free to the public and will provide opportunities for career seekers to submit resumes and talk with hiring managers.

Confirmed employers include Spectrum, Aramark, Waffle House, DeVry University, Massy Services, DH Pace-Overhead Door, University of Phoenix and more.

The purpose of this event is to provide resources for people looking for employment and resume assistance. More than 500 people are expected to attend with over 100 open positions. With the mission in 2019 to place 1000 people Career Center of the Carolinas has held dozens of events in multiple states (North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and Virginia) and plans to cross the finish line in Atlanta.

Career Center of the Carolinas provides a variety of programs for career seekers, including career and service events, hiring events, employee retention solutions, and workshops. The organization’s goal is to provide diverse resources to empower career seekers to achieve sustainable employment.
