A MARTA bus was rear-ended Wednesday morning while making a stop in DeKalb County, and a passenger was taken to the hospital, a spokeswoman said.
MARTA spokeswoman Cara Hodgson said the passenger was taken to DeKalb Medical Center with injuries that were believed to be non-life threatening.
The accident occurred around 10:40 a.m. at North Hairston Road and Fellsridge Court. The driver of a Kia Forte slammed into the bus, causing damage, but the bus was able to continue its route, Hodgson said. The driver was cited for following too closely.
Hodgson said there were 20 passengers on the bus at the time of the accident.
