A Buckhead woman kidnapped outside her home early Friday was released unharmed after being forced to withdraw money from an ATM, police said.
The victim, whose name has not been released, was returning to her Lenox Oaks Circle condominium from a night out around 2:15 a.m. when three males forced her back into her car at gunpoint, Atlanta police Capt. Tim Peek said.
The suspects drove the woman around, forcing her to withdraw several hundred dollars from at least one ATM, Peek told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
“After 30 to 45 minutes, they returned her back to her home where it all started, left her with her vehicle and fled on foot,” Peek said.
Peek said the victim could not provide a detailed description of the suspects because they had their faces covered.
