Browns Bridge lane closures set for concrete work
A new Browns Bridge will replace the existing span where Ga. 369 crosses Lake Lanier from Forsyth to Hall counties. GEORGIA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION
Single lane closures will continue where Brown Bridge Road (Ga. 369) crosses its namesake bridge on Lake Lanier, as crews pour concrete columns for a new span to replace the existing one.
The closures are scheduled between 9 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. daily through Friday, according to the Georgia Department of Transportation.
“Be advised that this work will be done weather-permitting,” GDOT said. “Please drive alert and slow down when driving through the work zone.”
Browns Bridge carries Ga. 369 over the main channel of the Chattahoochee River in Lake Lanier. A new bridge, with two 12-foot lanes and shoulders eight feet wide, is to be completed next April.
