Brookhaven District 1 Councilwoman Linley Jones will host a community meeting to hear from residents regarding their ideas and concerns for Murphey Candler Lake. The lake is located in the largest park in Brookhaven, and has been the focus of considerable cleanup and conservation efforts during the past year. Murphey Candler Park is currently operated by Brookhaven Parks and Recreation Department. Jones was named to the Brookhaven city council on June 9. The meeting begins at 8 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 15, on the dock of Murphey Candler Lake, 1551 West Nancy Creek Drive. Brookhaven residents are encouraged to attend.
