Braselton’s Downtown Development Authority and their Main Street Design Committee will begin a walkability study in downtown with an open forum meeting at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 25 in the Community Room of the Police and Municipal Court Building, 5040 Highway 53.

Increasing walkability generally includes evaluating pedestrian access to sidewalks, public transportation, bicycle access, streetscaping, and safety. In some cases, increased walkability also means reducing traffic speeds and a reduction of public parking spaces.

If you live, work or play in Downtown Braselton, you are encouraged to come and learn how the city can make downtown more walkable.
