Braselton’s Mayor and City Council will hold a public hearing on a proposed large mixed-use development along State Route 211 at 4 p.m. June 7 at Braselton Police and Municipal Court Building, 5040 State Route 53. If approved, the project called, Chateau Village, will include 457 single family homes on 183.14 acres, a retail and hotel building space on 33.98 acres, and five additional commercial outparcels on another 7.9 acres.

The plan calls for about 2.5 units per acre with two entrances that may be gated in the future. The residential community would be governed by restrictive covenants and a homeowners’ association to maintain common areas and amenities. This application was heard by the Braselton Planning Commission in March.
