The Braselton Downtown Development Authority has a vacant seat on its seven-member board and is reaching out to the community for interested volunteers. Chairman Hollie Hutchinson says applications are available for anyone interested in serving. Braselton DDA bylaws require members to either be a resident property owner or an owner or manager of a downtown business.

The DDA board meets once month with members required to provide an additional ten hours per month for organizing and implementing projects and activities in downtown. Newly-appointed DDA members are also required by state law to participate in specific training.

Appointments are made by the Braselton Town Council. This latest appointment will begin a four-year term in July.

Information or to request an application, contact Amy Pinnell at apinnell@braselton.net or download the application at www.downtownbraselton.com/about-us.html.
