Woodward Academy Middle School students participated in the regional National History Bee — a buzzer-based history quiz competition for individual students. Woodward students competed against students from around Georgia in a series of rounds of questions about various topics in history. The following students advanced to the national competition that will be held in Atlanta in June. 7th Grade Participants: Grant Davis, Callie Mitchell, Freddie Simon, Rajveer Singh, Ian Wallace and Jay Yoon. 8th Grade Participants: Christian Cameron, Devind Chea, Eliot Ciuperca, Madison Collins, Anabel Goncalves, McWilliams Howell, Tyler Kelley, Tyler Mayer and Elizabeth Yu.

Julia Wall of Douglasville made the Gettysburg College Deans' Commendation List for outstanding academic achievement in the Fall 2017 semester.
Samantha Rolka of Canton was named to the University of Arkansas at Little Rock's fall 2017 chancellor's list.
Tasha Graham of Smyrna qualified for the President's List for Fall 2017 Semester at Washburn University.
Mackenzie Baughman of Roswell and Grace Thompson of Marietta were named to the Purchase College Dean's List for the fall 2017 semester.
D'Aysha Matthews of Sandy Springs made the Dean's List of Academic Honors at Sam Houston State University.
