Woodward Academy’s Student Publications staff—including the Phoenix yearbook, Blade newsmagazine, the Butterknife newsletter, and Silent Voices literary arts magazine—has been awarded the 2019 Journalism Education Association’s Diversity Award.

The following Georgia residents graduated from the University of Kansas in January; Davonte Taireke Simmons of Atlanta, Master of Science in Education, Hamilton M Goodner, Macon, Master of Science in Geology and Sinclair Haley-Elizabeth McDonald, Tucker, Bachelor of Science in Business in Marketing.

Alejandro Rodriguez Ferrell of Atlanta, Robert Martin of Kingsland, Derrick Joseph Bauder of Lawrenceville, Thomas Elleamo Yankey of Marietta, Thomas Lodge Coffin of Smyrna and Cashina P. Smith of Union City graduated from the University of Oklahoma in the fall.

Alexis Jarvis of Newnan graduated from Southeast Missouri State University in fall 2018.
