Sasheenie Moodley of Atlanta, a graduate of The Westminster Schools, Richard Yoder of Milton, a graduate of Wesleyan School, and William Henagan of Atlanta, a graduate of The Lovett School, have been selected to join the new class of Jefferson Scholars at the University of Virginia.

Courtney Bobik of Alpharetta and Bradley Starr of Tucker have been named to the Dean’s List at Mount St. Mary’s University in Maryland.

Marine Corps Pvt. Eric R. Wolgamott, a 2012 graduate of Tucker High School, recently graduated from recruit training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, S. C.

Fayette County’s Barbara Baker, band director at McIntosh High; Dana Lamb, music teacher and fifth grade orchestra teacher at Cleveland Elementary; and Christy Todd, choral director at Rising Starr Middle, were among the 217 nominees nationwide selected as quarter-finalists for the first-ever GRAMMY Music Educator Award.

Matthew Parker of Marietta, Michael McClay of Lawrenceville and Carson Sears of Suwanee recently made the Dean’s List at Gardner-Webb University.

Jaclyn Kottman, the daughter of Stacy and Robin Kottman of Atlanta and a 2008 graduate of Paideia School, was recognized recently for outstanding achievement at Lawrence Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia, Ark.

Gabrielle E. Espy of Decatur, John P. Gallagher of Kennesaw and Leslie M. Peard and Ian P. Shaw of Atlanta recently graduated from Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Va.

Navy Seaman Apprentice David E. Till, a 2008 graduate of Kell High School, recently completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill.

Henssler Financial’s Thomas C. Cole has obtained the Certified Financial Planner certification.

Emika Ijuin, Graham Williams, William Martin and Ian Chmar, all of Atlanta, and Marisa Dieken of Smyrna, Emily Jackson of Lawrenceville and Diane Ramirez of Alpharetta, recently received bachelor’s degrees from Rice University. Reagin McNeill of Atlanta graduated with a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Mathematics.

Cadet Brian Christopher Rowen, son of Mrs. Lucy Hintz of Roswell and Gary Rowen of Marietta, recently graduated from the U.S. Military Academy.

Brandon Gilbert of Lawrenceville has been named to the Dean’s List at Auburn University at Montgomery.

Julie Lynn Sliwinski and Bryce Jamison Wells, both of Marietta, Allison Petersen of Watkinsville and Hunter Davidson Gamble of McDonough have been named to the Honor Roll at Gardner-Webb University.
