The Black Women Film Network has presented three college students with film scholarships at the Untold Stories Awards Luncheon. They are Tawanna Easley, Dominique Boyd and Erica Lamberson.
LTJG Josie Lynne Lenny of Jonesboro, a graduate of Eagle's Landing Christian and the University of Georgia, recently passed two milestones in her career. She was awarded her Surface Warfare Supply Officer Pin by Rear Admiral James McNeal, Commander Naval Supply Systems. She also advanced in rank from to LTJG with her oath being administered by Commander Brian Anderson.
Woodward Academy junior Vinay Nandanampati recently won the Best Delegate Award in the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime at the London International Model United Nations 2015 Conference.
Jessica O'Brien of Mableton has been inducted into Beta Gamma Sigma, the National Honor Society for AACSB accredited business programs. She has also been named to the Dean's List at Loyola University, New Orleans.
Raquel May of Decatur, a graduate of Southwest DeKalb High School, was recently named a 2015 Pacesetter at The Ohio State University's Fisher College Business, representing the college's top 1 percent of business students.
Tina Baek, Jennifer Baek and Nina Reddy of Lambert High School in Suwanee will travel to New York May 1-3 to compete in the final rounds of the International Public Policy Forum Debate Tournament.
Jack Eidson and Madison Hafitz of Atlanta, Max Greenhouse of Marietta and Maya Zeigler of Suwanee have been named to the Dean's List at Tufts University.
Ryan Watt of Manchester and Carrington Wilson of Atlanta have been named to the Dean's List Trevecca Nazarene University.
