Body dumped at Atlanta fire station tentatively identified
Authorities on Monday were awaiting fingerprint files to positively identify a man whose body was dumped in front of an Atlanta fire station Sunday morning.
Mark Guilbeau, a senior investigator with the Fulton County Medical Examiner's office, told the AJC Monday that his office had tentatively identified the man, but had not determined how he died.
The man, believed to be in his 20s, was left in front of Station 29 in the 2100 block of Monroe Drive about 9 a.m.
"Fire personnel attempted first aid on the victim, but he was found to be dead on the scene," said Officer Otis Redmond, a police spokesman. "There was no sign of trauma to the victim."
Atlanta police said they are investigating and released no further information.
