Bid for Henry County road projects approved

The Henry County Board of Commissioners approved the award for grading, widening and paving of the Amah Lee Road and Thoroughbred Drive dirt road improvement projects.

The action came at the board’s Nov. 7 regular meeting. Amah Lee Road construction cost is $373,672.35 and Thoroughbred Drive construction cost is $407,351.95 and both construction projects were combined into one bid. Construction for this SPLOST-funded project will be managed by Southeastern Site Development and will cost $781,024.30. This project will be funded through SPLOST IV which was approved by voters in 2013. Information: henrycounty-ga.com/SPLOST.aspx.
