Berkeley Lake approves low bidder for road maintenance

Berkeley Lake has received two bids for a new road maintenance project. The bid from Shepco Paving was more than $274,000 higher than the one submitted by HEH Paving of Atlanta. Following review by the city’s engineer, approval was recommended for HEH’s bid of $394,825 for paving and road maintenance. The Berkeley Lake City Council approved the contract on Sept. 17 for work to begin in October.
