The Atlanta Beltine Southeast Study Group has set a public meeting for 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 26.
Those interested are encouraged to join to discuss the future of the Reynoldstown Community Space. The meeting is set to discuss the evolution of that part of the BeltLine Space from the concept designs for a stage in 2014 to a community-inclusive approach moving forward.
Organizers had anticipated the stage and related projects would be completed by now. But, the Beltline trail system remains popular. On any given day, the Eastside Trail of the Atlanta Beltline hosts hundreds of bike riders, walkers, tourists, families, community events, fitness buffs and more.
The Reynoldstown Stage will envisioned to be a performance area on the second phase of the Eastside Trail’s southern extension, just north of Memorial Drive. During the early planning phases, the area was an unpaved interim hiking trail in Reynoldstown. Plans are to hoss Art on the Atlanta BeltLine performances there each fall.
The event will take place at Lang Carson Recreation Center, 100 Flat Shoals Ave. SE Atlanta.
