Barrow County law enforcement announced Tuesday it has arrested 41 suspected drug dealers in a large scale round-up.

"This action is not the end, nor even a break, in the Sheriff's Office fight against narcotics in Barrow County. Deputies from the narcotics unit are currently investigating cases on approximately 25 more drug dealers in Barrow County," Barrow County Sheriff's Investigator Matt Guthas said in a press release Tuesday.

The sweep involved more than 75 officers from local, state and federal agencies including the Barrow County Sheriff's Office, Auburn Police Department, Winder Police Department, Statham Police Department, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, Georgia State Patrol, the United States Marshal Service, and the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms, according to Guthas.

He explained the arrests are a result of a six-month undercover investigation in which officers made nearly 200 drug purchases, seizing more than $525,000 of illegal drugs. Prior to Monday's round-up, roughly 80 people had already been arrested on narcotics charges.

Agents served more than 100 warrants for drug and domestic violence offenders, according to Guthas.
