The Austell Planning and Zoning Commission will hold a public hearing at 6 p.m. Nov. 18 at the city’s Threadmill Complex, 5000 Austell-Powder Springs Road to hear a request from Brent Green who wants to deannex property at 5471, 5481, 5491 and 5521 Austell Road.

The property is zoned R-15 (single family residential) within Austell and would retain its current zoning within unincorporated Cobb County.

The mayor and council will hear and vote on the request at 7 p.m. Dec. 1 in the Council Chamber, City Hall, 2716 Broad St.

Anyone wishing to speak in opposition must sign up one day before the hearing at the Community Development Department, Suite 101, Austell Threadmill Complex.
