Austell council approves annexation request
The Austell City Council voted Monday to approve the annexation of 1.2 acres.
This request came from Jimmie D. Rogers for 3885 Humphries Hill Road.
Now 86, Rogers told the council he is hoping the city’s leaf-vacuuming service will help him complete a task that is becoming more difficult for him.
He added that he has lived at that address for 45 years.
The property will retain its Cobb County zoning of R-20 (Single Family Residential).
Planning and Zoning Commission members also recommended their approval of this annexation.
