The Auburn Police Department is seeking candidates for the Auburn Citizens Police Academy. Classes begin Aug. 13 and run for 10 weeks from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Tuesday evenings at the police department, 1361 Fourth Avenue. Class is limited to 25 participants.

Candidates will learn about police activities including traffic stops, drug enforcement, and participate in a drive along with officers. Goal of the program is to create better understanding of police duties and to potentially recruit future law enforcement candidates.
