Those clouds and pop-up storms that lingered during the week are expected to stick around for the weekend, too.

Saturday's high temperature is expected to reach the low to middle 80s, thanks to cloudy skies, according to Brad Nitz, Channel 2 Action News meteorologist. The chance of rain is 70 percent Saturday, and scattered thunderstorms are possible, Nitz said.

The forecast Sunday includes more of the same: clouds and rain. There is a 60-percent chance of rain and temperatures will be warmer, with a high of 88 degrees expected.

Most of the rain is expected to move out of the area in time for the new work week, Nitz said.

High temperatures Monday and Tuesday will reach the low 90s, with about a 30-percent chance of rain both days. Low temperatures will dip to the low 70s.
