Atlanta weather | Mother’s Day should see some sunshine

Mother’s Day got off to a foggy, overcast start, but the sun is expected to peek out this afternoon.

It will be partly cloudy with a 20 percent chance of rain and a high of 82 degrees, Channel 2 Action News meteorologist Brad Nitz said.

Monday and Tuesday should be more of the same with a 20 to 30 percent chance of rain and highs in the mid-80s, Nitz said.

The chance of rain increases to 40 percent on Wednesday, with a high of 81.

A cold front is expected to move in overnight into Thursday, dropping the day’s high to 73, with a 60 percent chance of rain, Nitz said.
