After Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms and Police Chief Erika Shields announced last week that the search for any possible DNA evidence to be tested or re-tested in the cases of Atlanta missing and murdered children from 1979-1981, the police department as well as several city departments has received numerous phone calls.

“We’re very grateful for those calls, but quickly realized we needed a central, dedicated number so the public would know precisely who to call,” said spokesman Carlos Campos.

As a result, the Atlanta Police Department has set up a dedicated telephone line to receive information that might be helpful to investigators. Anyone who would like to offer information in any of the cases may call 404-546-2603.

If an officer or investigator is not able to answer the phone, callers are encouraged to leave a message with a call-back number for follow-up.
