Ebenezer Baptist Church has selected Choate Construction Co. to build the M.L. King Sr. Community Resource Complex, a three-story addition to the existing Horizon Sanctuary which is located across the street from the original historic sanctuary. Founded in 1886, Ebenezer Baptist is the church in which Martin Luther King Jr. was baptized.
The addition to the church consists of an assembly hall with a full kitchen, cyber café, choir room, offices and classrooms. The site is included on the National Historic Register as part of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Historic District.
